Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of environmental and safety assessment studies, along with other relevant studies.
  • Performing and reporting environmental and safety studies with minimum quality monitoring standards.
  • Detailed analysis of environmental and safety study requirements.
  • Select the most appropriate study methodology.
  • Review applicable contractual requirements.
  • Review and validate HSE study reports.
  • Execute all required HSE studies.
  • Prepare man-day estimates for proposals and tenders for all studies.
  • Meet with clients to understand the project scope.
  • Request data for quoting purposes.
  • Submit data request forms for data collection and document reviews.
  • Attend sessions and site visits.
  • Prepare documents and reports according to the scope of work.
  • Coordinate with BV Kuwait team and other BV Network members for project execution.
  • Coordinate with consultants working for BV Kuwait as required.
  • Review reports prepared by consultants before submission to clients.
  • Address all comments received on study documents and reports from the company or contractors.
  • Maintain project schedules and deadlines through follow-up.
  • Coordinate with the HSE Manager and other BV Kuwait staff for all tasks.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the HSE Manager.
  • Update technical capabilities by reading journals, presentations, and standards.
  • Comply with all QHSSE rules and regulations of BV and clients.
Authorities
  • Authority to stop work if the situation is unsafe.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, or Post Graduate Engineer with 3 years, or Ph.D. with 1 year in HSE.
  • Experience in executing various safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL, and PHSER.
  • Experience with risk assessment and process safety software if involved in risk and safety roles.
  • Experience with environmental modeling software if involved in environmental roles.
  • Exposure to health assessment if involved in health roles.
  • Proficiency with PHAST, PHAST Risk, PHA Pro, SIL Exsilentia, and other equivalent software.
  • Good knowledge of HSE study methods and the ability to select appropriate techniques.
Desired Skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
