Amentum is now hiring a Field Support Representative (Intermediate) position supporting Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) at locations both CONUS and OCONUS. This role involves providing a range of product support activities, including spares management, warehousing, maintenance, transportation, training, and systems sustainment for the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Install, repair, and service electronic equipment such as computers, radar, missile control, avionics, and communications in field installations.
  2. Coordinate with customers or supervisors to plan equipment layouts.
  3. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
  4. Oversee installation of equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  5. Operate systems to demonstrate equipment and analyze malfunctions.
  6. Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; repair equipment using electronics knowledge and standard tools.
  7. Instruct and direct workers in servicing and repairing equipment; train customers on operation.
  8. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve system operation and maintenance issues.
  9. Possibly instruct workers in electronic theory.
  10. Supervise testing, tuning, and adjustment of equipment for optimal performance.
  11. Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and improvements.
  12. Handle consulting, engineering, and operations at specific customer locations.
  13. Identify technological changes and communicate their implications to management and customers.
  14. Provide technical assistance for planning, designing, installing, modifying, and operating information systems.
  15. Develop plans for application selection, system development, maintenance, and support resources.
  16. Analyze applications systems, conduct feasibility studies, and estimate costs and timelines.
  17. Project hardware and software requirements.
  18. Manage personnel on various projects, review work, and prepare performance reports.
  19. Advise subordinates on policies, technical issues, and priorities.
  20. Coordinate activities with other information systems sections.
  21. Prepare reports on activities at customer sites.
  22. Discuss performance and scheduling with customer personnel.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma required.
  2. Minimum of 2 years providing embedded technical support, maintenance, repairs, and advice to Army tactical units.
  3. Active SECRET US Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required to maintain clearance.
