Field Support Representative

Amentum is now hiring a Field Support Representative (Senior) position in support of Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) at locations both CONUS and OCONUS. This project will provide PM FPS and PM GS with a variety of product support activities, including spares, warehousing/kitting management, maintenance, transportation, shipping, fielding, equipment operator training, contractor equipment operators, field support representatives (FSRs), systems sustainment and design engineering, and supplier or total asset visibility management of the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).

1. Install, repair, and service electronic equipment, such as computers, radar, missile control, avionics, and communications, in field installations.
2. Coordinate with customers or supervisors to plan equipment layout.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
4. Oversee or perform installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
5. Operate systems to demonstrate equipment and analyze malfunctions.
6. Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; repair equipment using knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments and hand tools.
7. Instruct and supervise workers in servicing and repairing equipment; educate customers on operation of equipment.
8. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
9. Potentially instruct workers in electronic theory.
10. Supervise testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to optimize performance.
11. Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and potential improvements.
12. Manage consulting, engineering, and operations activities at specific customer locations.
13. Identify technological changes in telecommunications, computers, and systems; interpret their significance to management and customers.
14. Provide technical assistance in planning, designing, installing, modifying, and operating information systems.
15. Develop long and short-term plans for application selection, system development, maintenance, and support resources.
16. Conduct systems analysis, programming activities, feasibility studies, and cost estimates; implement new or revised applications and programs.
17. Project hardware and software requirements.
18. Assign and oversee personnel projects; review work and prepare performance reports.
19. Advise subordinates on policies, procedures, technical issues, priorities, and methods.
20. Coordinate activities with other information systems sections.
21. Prepare activity and progress reports for specific customer sites.
22. Discuss performance and scheduling with customer personnel.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 8 years providing embedded technical support, maintenance, repairs, and advisory services to Army tactical units.
• Active SECRET US Government Clearance required. Note: US Citizenship is necessary to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
