Role & responsibilities

  • Design & Engineering Support
  • Review civil and structural drawings for substation foundations, cable trenches, control buildings, and OHTL tower foundations.
  • Coordinate with design consultants to finalize civil design parameters and specifications.
  • Verify the feasibility of designs at site and provide recommendations for modifications when required.
  • Project Execution & Supervision
  • Supervise all on-site civil construction activities, including excavation, concreting, reinforcement, and formwork.
  • Ensure all civil works are executed as per approved drawings, standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project schedule and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with electrical teams for interface works between civil and electrical activities.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Conduct inspections, material testing, and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
  • Review contractors method statements, ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
  • Procurement & Coordination
  • Prepare and verify quantities (BOQs) for civil materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of materials.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily site reports, material consumption logs, and progress records.
  • Assist in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project closeout documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

The candidates engineering college, along with the relevant subject/department, must be listed with the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) to be eligible for membership with the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE). This is a mandatory requirement.
