Job Title: Maintenance Management Specialist

This is a senior maintenance management position responsible for overseeing daily operations of assigned maintenance teams. The role provides technical and operational guidance, ensuring compliance with military regulations and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise personnel engaged in field-level maintenance.
  • Conduct planning and scheduling of maintenance and services for all equipment assigned.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts, including sensitive and controlled items inventories.
  • Utilize Global Combat Support-Army (GCSS-Army) to manage daily maintenance-related functions.
  • Monitor work orders and production on all assigned equipment requiring corrective action.
  • Track equipment services, preventative maintenance checks and services, administrative services, and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Prepare personnel work schedules and monitor subordinate performance.
  • Ensure daily reporting is annotated with current and updated information.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior military training in maintenance and supply management preferred.
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License is required.
  • Certification in GCSS-Army or other STAMIS is required.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and possess effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tactical equipment and commercial equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and Class IX Supply operations.
  • Expert knowledge of technical and commercial manuals for servicing, operational, and repair procedures.
  • Root cause analysis and Corrective Actions Plans preparation ability.
  • Full knowledge of management and usage of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Work Environment:

The worker is subject to extreme cold temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

The worker is subject to extreme heat temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

The worker is subject to noise levels sufficient to require shouting to be heard above ambient noise level.

The worker is subject to hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding, high places, exposure to high heat, or chemicals.

Physical Requirements: Medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The worker requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection, using measurement devices, and assembly/fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
