Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven professional to fill the position of Senior Manager - Compliance and Government Relations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with local government bodies and regulatory agencies, ensuring seamless business operations and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in government relations, regulatory affairs, or relevant public sector roles, particularly in the areas of logistics, transportation, or food delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key government departments, including the Ministry of Interior, Employee Affairs Sector, Kuwait Municipality, Authority of Food, and Ministry of Health.
  2. Analyze and navigate complex regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with transportation, health, food safety, and labor laws.
  3. Act as the primary liaison between the organization and relevant authorities to facilitate business operations and approvals.
  4. Ensure that all compliance processes are thoroughly documented and followed, from licensing to rider health certifications.
  5. Provide expert guidance and support in obtaining necessary permits and certifications, including health cards for riders and food safety approvals for delivery operations.
  6. Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and documentation to local authorities.
  7. Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise internal teams on necessary adaptations.
  8. Streamline the compliance process by collaborating with local authorities to ensure timely approvals for new operations or service expansions.
  9. Identify potential compliance risks and propose effective solutions to mitigate these risks.
