Job Summary:

Senior Manager

We are looking for a results-driven professional to lead our government relations and compliance efforts in Kuwait. As a Senior Manager - Compliance and Government Relations, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with local government bodies and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Government Relations:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key government departments, including the Ministry of Interior, Employee Affairs Sector, Kuwait Municipality, Authority of Food, and Ministry of Health.
  • Negotiate with local regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with transportation, health, food safety, and labor laws.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between our company and relevant authorities to facilitate business operations and approvals.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary permits and certifications, including health cards for riders and food safety approvals for delivery operations.
  • Manage the submission of regulatory filings and documentation to local authorities.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and provide advice to internal teams on necessary adaptations.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or similar roles.
  • Experience working with local authorities, particularly in sectors such as transportation, food safety, or health regulations in Kuwait, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Kuwaiti delivery industry and its regulatory landscape is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kuwait's labor, transportation, and food safety laws.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications or experience in regulatory affairs or compliance are a plus.
