About the Role:
The Vocational Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering vocational programs that cater to the needs of students in the Special Education Needs (SEN) unit. This role requires strong teaching and assessment skills, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Vocational Program Delivery: Design and deliver vocational programs that meet the needs of students in the SEN unit.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess student skills and monitor progress to ensure they are meeting program requirements.
- Collaboration with Workshop Instructors: Work closely with workshop instructors to develop and implement hands-on activities that support student learning.
- Administrative and Verification Tasks: Ensure accurate student records, participate in verification/moderation processes, and meet certification requirements.
- Lesson Planning and Teaching: Develop structured lesson plans, assess student performance, and maintain classroom discipline.
- School Activities and Engagement: Contribute to school events, prepare students for competitions, and support school-wide initiatives.
- Student Behavior and Communication: Enforce discipline policies, encourage English usage, and maintain confidentiality.
- Additional Responsibilities: Cover for absent staff, participate in field trips, and adhere to school policies and accreditation standards.
This role is critical in providing students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
