As a Field Service Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical facilitation and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit.

You will be accountable for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring efficient delivery of installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for Honeywell Fire Alarm and Gas Detection Systems at client sites, complying with local regulations and project specifications. Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, perform root cause analysis, and replace faulty devices or reconfigure panels as needed.
  • Preparing commissioning reports, cause & corrective action reports, test forms, and as-built drawings. Maintaining accurate records of service calls, spare part replacements, and system configurations.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors for approvals, inspections, and client handovers. Supporting project handover and providing training to customer personnel. Maintaining professional relationships and upholding our image on-site.
  • Following safety protocols. Ensuring work complies with NFPA/EN standards and local Civil Defense regulations. Keeping systems updated with the latest firmware and software patches.
  • Understanding customer requirements, acting as a consultant, and providing suggestions for their issues. Maintaining timesheets for billing purposes. Collaborating with solution architects and proposal teams for spot proposal submissions.
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner and following up to resolve them within the agreed timeframe. Reporting potential future failures, disturbances, and opportunities for improvement. Prioritizing requests for spares and additional customer requests.
  • Following SOPs, HSE, and quality systems during service delivery.
  • Conducting hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as per company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of spot services according to the scope of work, maintaining communication with SOL and FSM, and coordinating site activities across various locations.
  • Taking full ownership of the delivery scope, managing risks and opportunities proactively, and informing SOL/PM accordingly.
  • Performing service & maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance as per AMC. Demonstrating strong knowledge of fixed gas detection systems, fire detection zones, wiring diagrams, networking, and system integration.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance. Willingness to travel for site surveys and data collection. Maintaining detailed service records and documentation for future reference.
  • Possessing a degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related fields. Having sound knowledge of local fire codes and standards.
  • Having hands-on experience with fire alarm panels, gas detectors, system integration, troubleshooting, and client communication skills.
  • Having 8–12 years of experience with Fire Alarm, Gas Suppression, and Gas Detection Systems, preferably Honeywell systems like XLS-3000, XLS-140, XNX, & XCD detectors, and Safety Manager. Experience with Honeywell tools and commissioning processes is preferred.
