Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Description:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental management system.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Risk assessment and planning are crucial aspects of this role, including developing risk registers, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions.
  • You will also be responsible for executing routine and special audits, evaluating the effectiveness of HSE management systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant local and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
  • In addition to auditing, you will provide training or awareness sessions on HSE audit processes and best practices as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 45001 (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HSE auditing, preferably in high-risk industries (oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, etc.).
  • Proficiency in planning, conducting, and reporting HSE audits.
  • Familiarity with internal audit frameworks and methodologies.
