Safety Officer Job Summary

This role requires a professional to manage and maintain a safe working environment for employees and contractors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Attend Meetings: Participate in weekly meetings to discuss inspection planning and action closing, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct Safety Audits: Perform daily safety audits and inspections to identify any safety issues or non-compliance with safety procedures.
  • Investigate Accidents: Investigate accidents thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Deliver Safety Training: Provide regular safety training sessions for employees and contractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driving License: Possess a valid driving license to facilitate travel to different sites.
  • NEBOSH Certification: Hold a NEBOSH certification, demonstrating expertise in occupational health and safety.
  • IOSH Certification: Possess an IOSH certification, showcasing proficiency in health and safety management.
Experience:
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Seniority Level:
  • Executive: The successful candidate will be at an executive level, responsible for making strategic decisions related to safety and risk management.
Employment Type:
