Job Description
The primary objective of this role is to undertake routine servicing and repairs to equipment, with a focus on elevated work platforms and telehandlers in the field and workshop as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with emphasis on elevating work platforms such as JLG, Genie and Haulotte Machines.
  • Respond to customer calls and service dispatches by attending sites, making every effort to repair machines on site thereby limiting transportation needs.
  • Travel and stay overnight when requested.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and inspection forms required by relevant policies and customer/site requirements.
  • Be available to work in the workshop during periods of low field service activity or as needed.
  • Notify the Manager if repairs or services cannot be completed during visit and provide reason.
  • Conduct general duties from time to time as requested by the Branch.

Main Duties:
  • Meet with customers to determine the nature of service or repair required.
  • Carry out routine equipment servicing in the field.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Repair equipment and replace faulty parts.
  • Install and test new equipment.
  • Provide preventive equipment maintenance.
  • Offer technical training on new equipment installations.
  • Maintain equipment stock in company vehicles.
  • Prepare job reports.

Requirements:
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician.
  • Relevant Technical Certificate.
  • Able to travel and work according to a changing schedule.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills.
  • Mechanical and Electrical skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Good Communication and Training Skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment.
