The role of Field Service Technician is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs of elevating work platforms such as JLG, Genie and Haulotte Machines
  • Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment, minimizing downtime and transportation needs
  • Travel and accommodation may be required for site visits
  • Responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and inspection forms in accordance with manufacturer policies and customer requirements
  • Work in the workshop when no field service jobs are available
  • Notify the manager if repairs or services cannot be completed during visit and provide reason
  • Perform general duties as requested by the team
  • Respond to customer callouts and dispatches
  • Determine the nature of service or repair through customer meetings
  • Conduct routine equipment servicing in the field
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures
  • Repair equipment and replace faulty parts
  • Install and test new equipment
  • Provide preventive equipment maintenance
  • Provide technical training on new equipment installations
  • Maintain equipment stock in company vehicles
  • Complete job reports

Skills Required

  • Valid driving license
  • Proven experience as a field service technician
  • Relevant technical certificate
  • Ability to travel and work according to changing schedules
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Mechanical and electrical skills

  • Physical fitness to work with heavy equipment
