Job Description

A globally remote role seeks a skilled software engineer with expertise in cloud automation and software operations at scale.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and support features in highly concurrent systems.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams to drive software delivery using Go.
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities to resolve technical challenges.
  • Work with experienced engineers to develop innovative solutions.
  • Coach and develop team members to build a first-class engineering team.
  • Participate in global travel for internal and external events.
Key Requirements
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality software using Go.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, especially online.
  • An exceptional academic background from high school and preferably university.
  • Experience with agile methodologies to deliver quality software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
Desirable Skills
  • Container technologies like Docker, LXD, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Development experience in C, C++, Rust, or low-level programming languages.
  • A solid networking background and Linux/open-source experience.
  • Configuration management software like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Cloud computing knowledge and its applications.
  • Passion for software quality and testing to meet expectations.
  • Packaging (Debian, snaps) and database management using SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Distributed team experience on an open-source project, including community contributions.
