Job Summary

The Global Supply Chain Director will oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills to ensure that supply chain activities meet business needs and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and advise departments on planning strategies for procurement, inventory control, logistics, distribution, and asset management.
  • Ensure collaboration with stakeholders to identify needs and arrange buying channels, inventory stocking, and inbound-outbound transportation.
  • Manage procurement supply chain activities to meet business and customer needs.
  • Establish a robust supply base and manage the procurement supply chain process for optimal results.
  • Communicate objectives to line managers and key personnel, reflecting the company's goals, and provide direction to achieve results.
  • Analyze processes within departments to identify cost reductions and waste costs.
  • Manage relationships with local and international vendors to ensure prompt services and reduced wait times.
  • Train, develop, and assist subordinates in all departments under supply chain management.
  • Review and analyze processes to improve quicker process times and overall effectiveness.
  • Implement strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with NCS requirements.
  • Generate competitive advantage for internal clients at the local market and promote Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, adhering to the company's safety program and mainstays.
  • Oversee logistics and transportation of repairs and supplies to and from all rigs and repair shops.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and Internal Control requirements, including employee and supplier performance.
  • Lead and execute Cost Management Initiatives to achieve objectives, resulting in cost improvement and process optimization.
  • Communicate effectively with other areas and HOU to address issues and identify root causes for valid solutions.
  • Monitor lead times, inventory, import/export, asset management, and purchasing to maintain consistent improvement in performance of Operations and rig support.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings and conference calls, submitting reports identifying issues and specific examples to resolve them.
  • Provide monthly reports to key stakeholders, summarizing and updating on issues and possible resolutions for discussion at Management Meetings.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and analyze data over long periods to identify trends and issues affecting the future business model.
  • This role includes team leadership and management of training programs and may manage PSC Operations.
  • Responsible for managerial functions, including interviewing applicants, training employees, directing and assessing subordinate work, performance management, setting work schedules, and handling employee grievances.
  • Make decisions regarding hiring and firing employees, ensuring an overall healthy balance sheet, margin improvement, talent management, compliance, and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations Management, or 10-15+ years' experience with at least 5 years as an asset supply chain manager.
  • 10+ years' work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or related fields with 4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Recent practical area or regional asset supply chain management experience, preferably international for a minimum of 10 years.
  • Outstanding cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and make difficult decisions.
  • Collaborative facilitator able to build credibility and commitment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, handle details, and work in a team environment.
  • Strong supply chain background, interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers, and excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
