Job Overview

Nabors Industries is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Asset Supply Chain Director to lead our supply chain operations. This key role will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, including purchasing, warehouse and inventory management, yard maintenance, assets, customs, import/export, planning, development, logistics, and distribution.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will analyze and advise departments on planning strategies for procurement, inventory control, logistics, distribution, import/export issues, and asset management. They will ensure collaboration with stakeholders to identify needs and arrange buying channels, inventory stocking, and inbound-outbound transportation to meet operational requirements.

The Strategic Asset Supply Chain Director will manage procurement supply chain activities to meet business and customer needs. They will establish a supply base and manage the procurement supply chain process for optimal business results.

Key responsibilities include communicating objectives to line managers and key personnel, reflecting the company's goals, and providing direction to obtain results. The candidate will analyze all processes within departments for possible cost reductions and identifying waste costs.

They will manage relationships with local and international vendors for prompt services leading to reduced wait times. The Strategic Asset Supply Chain Director will train, develop, and assist subordinates in all departments that fall under supply chain management.

Additionally, they will review and analyze processes for quicker process times and overall effectiveness. The candidate will implement strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with Nabors Industries' standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations Management, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or a related field, with at least 5 years as an asset supply chain manager, is required.

The preferred candidate will have recent practical area or regional asset supply chain management experience, preferably internationally, for a minimum of 10 years. Outstanding cross-functional leadership and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build credibility and get buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.

Substantial completion of a recognized program in SCM or purchasing is desirable. The candidate must demonstrate proven ability to prioritize tasks and effectively handle details, as well as excellent ability to work in a team environment.

Strong supply chain background, with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers, is necessary. The candidate must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and knowledge of computer hardware configurations and operating systems.

Other qualifications include demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer relationship and communication skills, flexibility to solve different types of challenges, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, able to handle and resolve conflict and team performance issues, and possess time management, prioritization, and organization skills, with the ability to delegate workload appropriately.

Lastly, the Strategic Asset Supply Chain Director must be able to analyze cost and pricing data, delegate and supervise staff, and make decisions that properly reflect company policy.
