Job Overview

Nabors Industries is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, ensuring seamless execution and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and advise departments on planning strategies for procurement, inventory control, logistics, distribution, import/export issues, and asset management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs and ensure buying channels, inventory stocking, and inbound-outbound transportation meet operational requirements.
  • Manage Procurement supply chain activities to meet business and customer needs.
  • Establish and manage the supply base for optimal business results.
  • Communicate objectives to line managers and key personnel, reflecting the company's goals and direction.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions and waste elimination within departments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and international vendors for prompt services and reduced wait times.
  • Train, develop, and assist subordinates in all departments under supply chain management.
  • Review and analyze processes for quicker processing times and overall effectiveness.
  • Implement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with NDIL standards.
  • Generate competitive advantages for internal clients at the local market and promote Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee logistics and transportation of repairs and supplies to and from rigs and repair shops.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and Internal Control requirements, as well as employee and supplier performance.
  • Lead and execute Cost Management Initiatives to achieve objectives, resulting in cost improvements and process optimization.
  • Communicate effectively with other areas and HOU to address issues and identify root causes for valid solutions.
  • Accomplish consistent improvement in Operations and rig support by monitoring lead times, inventory, import/export, asset management, and purchasing.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings and Conference calls, submitting reports on identified issues and specific examples for effective resolution.
  • Provide monthly reports to key stakeholders summarizing and updating on issues and possible resolutions for discussion at Management Meetings.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and analyze data over long periods to identify trends and potential issues affecting future business models.
  • Direct responsibility for team leadership and management of training programs, including PSC Operations.
  • Manage various managerial functions, including interviewing applicants, training employees, directing and assessing subordinate work, performance management, setting work schedules, and handling employee grievances.
  • Make decisions regarding the hiring and firing of employees and drive the overall healthy balance sheet, margin improvement, talent management, compliance, and process efficiency.
  • Must possess strong product knowledge of drilling equipment.
  • Negotiate, execute, and manage global agreements.
  • Perform spend analysis to identify and target commodities for potential savings.
  • Develop alternative sources, ensuring continuity of supply, consistency of quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Advise management on market conditions and supplier base activity that may affect pricing or delivery.
  • Contribute to NCS Purchasing and departmental goals and objectives through proactive purchasing that leads to lower TCO and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in strategic development and implementation projects and participate as assigned on special projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to solve different types of challenges.
