Pricing Strategist

Job Title:

• Pricing Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Pricing Engineer with 4 years of experience to join our team. This multifaceted role involves conducting detailed cost estimations and collaborating with stakeholders to develop competitive pricing structures.

• Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects, analyzing factors such as materials and associated expenses.
2. Collaborate with project engineers to efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials in alignment with project timelines and goals.
3. Review tender documents thoroughly to ensure bills of quantities (BOQ) are complete.
4. Prepare tender documents for competitive bidding processes, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
5. Issue detailed RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability information.
6. Analyze tenders and proposals to determine the most cost-effective solutions while ensuring project quality and profitability.
7. Negotiate prices with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
8. Explore opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
9. Conduct detailed quantity surveys.
10. Manage and implement quantity modifications, including omissions and additions, as required.
11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of project costs, expenditures, and contractual agreements.
12. Produce precise analyses and reports specified by the pricing manager for their review.
13. Compile a comprehensive summary table of materials and subcontractors' quotations.
14. Prepare a detailed report for the pricing manager on each unawarded project.
15. Assist the department head in performing risk analysis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Essential Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Pricing Engineer, Estimator, or Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out industry.
3. Strong knowledge of fit-out construction materials, methods, and processes.
4. Proficiency in cost estimation software, pricing tools, and construction estimating software.
5. Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail to ensure accurate cost assessments and pricing strategies.
6. Effective communication and negotiation abilities to collaborate with stakeholders and negotiate favorable contracts.
7. Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and market trends impacting pricing and project costs.
8. Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
9. At least 4 years of experience.
