Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead our compliance efforts in Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Government Relations & Compliance Management:
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key government departments, including the Ministry of Interior, Employee Affairs Sector, Kuwait Municipality, Authority of Food, and Ministry of Health.
  • Navigate complex regulatory landscapes to ensure compliance with transportation, health, food safety, and labor laws.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between our organization and relevant authorities to facilitate business operations and approvals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to compliance processes, from licensing to rider health certifications.
  • Regulatory & Legal Support:
  • Provide expert guidance on obtaining necessary permits and certifications, including health cards for riders and food safety approvals for delivery operations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and documentation to local authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in relevant laws and regulations, advising internal teams on necessary adaptations.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Collaborate with local authorities to streamline compliance processes and ensure timely approvals for new operations or service expansions.
  • Identify potential risks or gaps in compliance and propose effective solutions to mitigate these risks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or similar roles.
  • Proven track record working with local authorities, particularly in sectors such as transportation, food safety, or health regulations in Kuwait, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the Kuwaiti delivery industry and its regulatory landscape is a significant advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Kuwait's labor, transportation, and food safety laws.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications or experience in regulatory affairs or compliance are highly valued.
