Data Governance Overview:
Our organization requires a Data Governance Engineer to lead the development and implementation of data governance policies, processes, standards, and monitoring. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining an internal data catalog with automated data labeling and quality metrics.

The Data Governance team works with open-source data governance tools such as Trino and Ranger. You will define and execute data governance processes, and democratize data at Canonical. This role involves working closely with the team to ensure the security, quality, and compliance of our data assets.

  • Designing and implementing data labeling and quality metrics in the data catalog
  • Ensuring data security best practices
