Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Job Description

This role oversees the operation and maintenance of a variety of equipment, including motor vehicles, electrical appliances, and heavy machinery. The successful candidate will ensure that all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the maintenance and repair of complex equipment, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
  • Close collaboration with other team members is essential to achieve goals and objectives, as well as to promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections, repairs, and replacements, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Identifies and addresses potential issues before they become major problems, thereby minimizing downtime and reducing costs.
  • Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintenance.
  • Develops and implements effective preventive maintenance strategies to prolong equipment lifespan and reduce operational expenses.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and automotive repair and maintenance, as well as experience with various types of heavy machinery.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

  • Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including high temperatures and humidity.
  • Work may involve exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Shift work and overtime may be required to meet business needs and deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • Medium to heavy work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
