Job Title: HVAC Lead Specialist

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all duties and responsibilities of an HVAC section, including providing maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment. They will also perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager (O&M).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all duties and responsibilities of an HVAC section
  • Provide maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager (O&M)

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Two years of HVAC or related technical school highly desirable
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Five years HVAC experience with trade certifications
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Military Operator's license
  • HVAC trade certification required

Skills:

  • Technical skill to identify repair requirements as it pertains to HVAC equipment
  • Expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations, and repair of HVAC systems
  • Ability to document and report inspection findings using pictures on required forms
  • Detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, and exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in all phases of documentation as it pertains to servicing, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of equipment operations as it is critical to providing a quality inspection program
  • Capable of giving and receiving instructions during the course of normal duties
  • Capable of working independently with little-or-no guidance
  • Willing to adapt to rapidly-changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Working Conditions:

  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions
  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations
