You are a skilled project manager with extensive experience in managing EPC projects. We seek an individual who can effectively lead our Project Management Team to deliver high-quality results. If you have at least 25 years of project management experience, particularly in FEED and EPC projects, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the PMT to support the client in managing the awarded EPC contract for the upgrade of the power station. The main scope includes the upgrade of the existing power generation facilities and the provision of a future link to another neighboring power station. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to anticipate and resolve complex issues proactively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage EPC Contractor ensuring that the project is delivered within time, budget, and QHSE requirements.
  • Ensure the correct application by EPC Contractor of design criteria, drawings, standards and conventions, and design guidelines for the projects.
  • Coordinate the reporting of progress, performance, and resource allocation by the EPC Contractor.
  • Organize pre-construction conferences, briefings, and presentations.
  • Monitor and manage construction and commissioning activities.
  • Verify the EPC Contractor's monthly invoices.
  • Guarantee timely internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through successful project delivery, thereby paving the way for long-term client relationships and opportunities for repeat business.

Key Relationships:

  • The PMS Project Manager will report to the MEA PMC/PMS SL Director and collaborate closely with the project's internal support team.
  • The position involves interaction with the Client's Project Director and relevant personnel based in the power station.

Personal Competencies:

  • High-level leadership skills to motivate and influence others.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Capacity to anticipate situations and identify obstacles or opportunities.

Knowledge/Experience (Skills):

  • A minimum of 25 years of prior project management and project engineering experience in the FEED and EPC projects.
  • PMC experience at similar roles for several years is preferable.
  • Proficiency in MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to an engineering degree (Minimum). Project Management certification is desirable.
