Maintenance Manager

About the Role

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department. This position requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills to manage daily operations, ensure compliance with performance work statements, and provide operational guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor maintenance program production schedules and execute missions on time and at the highest quality level possible.
  • Frequent contact with customers regarding maintenance performance and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with customer contract personnel to ensure adherence to all contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements and technical approach for task orders solicitations.
  • Ensure direct subordinates' responsibilities, authorities, and accountability are defined and understood.
  • Promote teamwork, quality, and a sound environmental health and safety culture.
  • Conduct regular reviews with assigned programs to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Vectrus employee relations policies.
  • Provide a safe and secure workplace.
  • Set an example for respect, responsibility, and integrity.
  • Report on life safety, quality, and maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine inspections of maintenance sections.
Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School Graduate required. Bachelor's degree desired. 6-8 years of maintenance experience with 2-3 years in a management capacity of a similar project/department/branch related to these functions of a Base Operations Support Services contract.
    • Must be Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A) Plant maintenance certified.
  • Experience:
    • 6-8 years in the management of maintenance programs. Specific experience in U.S. Army logistics management desirable.
  • Skills:
    • High-level organizational and planning skills to manage workflow efficiently and accurately.
    • Senior-level inter-personal skills to interact effectively with a large and multi-ethnic workforce.
    • Energy and stamina to meet constant cycle of meetings and briefings.
    • Expert written and oral communications, proficiency in MS office suite.
    • Technical skills in quality program development and maintenance.
  • SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Directly responsible to the Logistics Director and has overall responsibility for policies and procedures used in the performance of work.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    • Normal work week is 48 hours. May be required to work additional hours as mission dictates.
    • Primary work location will be Camp Buehring; will have operational responsibilities at additional locations within the area of responsibility.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
