Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for directing a professional team, managing daily operations, and developing plans to support mid- and long-range requirements and goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Directing a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline.
- Interviews, selects, and places candidates into open positions within area of responsibility.
- Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in assessment.
- Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.
- Administers disciplinary actions whenever required.
- Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate.
- Organizes, plans, manages, and oversees the daily operations/activities of the Maintenance Department.
- Provides management direction for the Maintenance Department.
- Develops plans to support mid- and long-range requirements and goals that include support for the Department.
- Coodinates, updates, receives guidance, and gains approval for future actions with the ASG-KU Director of Logistics (DOL), and Program Director.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of leadership skills, technical expertise, and business acumen.
Key requirements include:
- Previous military experience, preferably in US Military at field grade level, Senior Non-Commissioned Officer or at least GS-13 level DOD experience.
- Strong senior-level management capabilities with experience in budget development, military support planning, maintenance management, executive-level correspondence, and proposal development.
- A collaborative work style, fostering effective cohesion, cooperation, and teamwork.
