Job Title: Technical Library Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Library Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

The Technical Library Specialist will be responsible for managing the technical library and ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible. This includes maintaining a database of technical manuals, searching for and cataloging new materials, and distributing them to regional maintenance work centers upon request.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Technical Library Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining library records and circulation systems, uploading information to local area work center databases, ordering technical manuals as needed, and performing document control and editing functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-3+ years of experience as a librarian or in a similar field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required.
  • Knowledge of military technical library procedures is a plus.

This position requires the ability to work efficiently and effectively, even in extreme environmental conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs. and endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
