Underwriting Manager

This role involves providing underwriting support to the Business and assisting in delivering underwriting/portfolio standards and strategy.
You will be involved in exposure and claims trend analysis for case underwriting, mid-market and corporate whole accounts segment underwriting performance monitoring, and case underwriting decision-making.
You will support others in the technical community, and you will work with underwriting colleagues from other lines of business in developing and improving underwriting procedures and pricing practices which support profitable growth.
You will use your analytical and communication skills to prepare and deliver timely, accurate and relevant information as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supporting underwriting and portfolio managers in order to contribute to the development and management of risk strategies, performance, and long-term development of Commercial Portfolio.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of accurate, up-to-date Technical procedures, process manuals, documentation standards, etc. to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Actively contributing to the development of segment and local customer propositions, and associated sales planning and account development, bringing knowledge and insight of the market and its risks, proactively identifying opportunities to increase penetration of existing customers and/or expand the business mix.
