Job Description:
The Sales Manager key focus will be selling sponsorship, advertising, and underwriting opportunities for a diverse portfolio of activities, as well as client relations and service management. In this role, you will engage in the entire sales process from prospecting potential clients tocontracting final agreements and supporting the fulfilment of services. Sales staff work as a team todevelop strong, reliable relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential distribution channels.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to develop accurate sales forecasts.
- Ensure that production aligns with sales demand.
Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support salesefforts.
- Provide input on product offerings and pricing strategies.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels of green and roasted coffee beans, packaging materials, and other supplies, and coordinate with the Operations Manager to keep the roasted coffee beans in stock.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate the efficient packaging, labeling, and distribution of coffee products to customers andretail locations.
- Monitor transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including food safety and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance sales.
- Introduce new technologies or equipment as needed to improve the sales and production.
Presentation Ability:
Presentation skills involve public speaking and having the ability to communicate a central idea to alarge group of people.
Data Analysis:
Sales managers often benefit from the ability to project whether sales numbers are on pace to hit revenue goals and evaluate the individual sales numbers of their team, and have to examine salesnumbers to see if they are raising or falling compared to past years.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, and marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Have at least 5 years of experience working in the Sales and Marketing field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and production planning.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and industry standards.
- Solid understanding of sales strategies and customer relationship management.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
