Job Overview

A night audit professional is responsible for performing critical tasks during the late-night hours. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

The primary objective of a night auditor is to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. This involves reviewing cash handling, credit card processing, and other payment methods to guarantee that all transactions are legitimate and properly accounted for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling: Counting and balancing cash drawers, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing daily cash reports.
  • Credit Card Processing: Verifying credit card transactions, resolving any issues or discrepancies, and updating guest accounts.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensuring accurate reconciliation of guest accounts, including charges, payments, and credits.
  • Reporting: Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports on hotel operations, including revenue, expenses, and occupancy rates.
