Experienced Project Manager for EPC Contract Management

Penspen Ltd is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the management of an EPC contract for the upgrade of a power station in Kuwait. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals with extensive experience in project management and engineering to apply their expertise in a challenging environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EPC contractor to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) requirements.
  • Collaborate with the EPC contractor to verify design criteria, drawings, standards, and conventions.
  • Oversee progress reporting, performance monitoring, and resource allocation by the EPC contractor.
  • Coordinate pre-construction conferences, briefings, and presentations.
  • Ensure active oversight and management of construction and commissioning activities.
  • Verify monthly invoices from the EPC contractor.
  • Maintain timely internal and external reporting.

Key Relationships:

  • The successful candidate will report directly to the MEA PMC/PMS SL Director and engage regularly with Penspen's project internal support team.
  • This role requires strong collaboration with the Client's Project Director and relevant personnel based at the power station.

  • Able to anticipate situations ahead, identify obstacles, and proactively resolve opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 25 years of prior project management and project engineering experience in FEED and EPC projects.
  • Prior PMC experience at a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel.

Salary and Benefits:

This highly rewarding position comes with a competitive salary package, estimated around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
