Chief Procurement Strategist

About the Role:

As a seasoned purchasing manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining records of goods ordered and received, identifying vendors of materials and supplies, and developing strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of procurements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  
  
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their products and services, and negotiate contracts that meet our needs.
  
  
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
  
  
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
  
  
• Analyze market trends, delivery systems, and material availability to inform procurement decisions.
  
  
• Represent the company in negotiations with suppliers, resolving grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  
  
• Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
  
  
• Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
  
  

Requirements:

• 
  
  
• 5-10 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  
  
• Good command of English, with fluency in Arabic.
  
  
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as business administration or supply chain management.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of the Kuwait market and its requirements.
  
  
• Excellent negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work with figures and budgets, exercising good judgement and analytical skills.
  
  
• Organized approach, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  
  
• Leadership skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  
  

Salary: We offer an attractive salary package, estimated at KD 2,500 - KD 3,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
