About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of working in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, with at least 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar position. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is usually required. Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement can be advantageous.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service support, availability, and reliability.
  • Negotiating and making arrangements for travel ticket bookings.
  • Establishing standards of quality and quantity and developing standard specifications in consultation with the department's Director.
  • Maintaining the Banner Accounting System for Purchasing and Procurement up-to-date.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze data and information received from various vendors.
  • Assist the university in its search for the right suppliers.
  • Purchase, rent, or otherwise provide for the furnishing of supplies, materials, equipment, or contractual services for all departments of the university.
