Responsibilities

As a Data AI Architectural Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to own technical discussions for Data & AI with customers, leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs. You will use consultative and/or Challenger methods to establish rules of engagement for extended teams. Your goal will be to build a strategy that maps the agreed customer vision into a plan, resolves concerns, prevents, and removes technical blockers, and validates a business case for investment and translates technology complexity into business impact.

Key aspects of this role include:
  • Working with customers, account teams, and partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation.
  • Driving technical assessments to create a map of the current landscape and to build the technical Data & AI platform roadmap, value-based prioritization of key use cases.
  • Designing solutions using technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills, and our methodology to win a customer's technical decision and meet their needs.
  • Ensuring technical decision-makers agree with proposed architecture and measures of success.
  • Driving Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
  • Scales through partners, acting as a liaison between the partner and account team, facilitating partner resources and processes; supporting partner technical capacity by identifying skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams.
  • Being the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with the Engineering team to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience. OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
  • Additional or preferred qualifications include 3+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
  • Experience and skills with Azure Data and AI services or equivalent competitive experience.
  • Knowledge of the AI open-source ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Services, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Open AI (including Speech, Vision, Translation etc.) or equivalent competitive experience.
  • Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, LLM fine-tuning, and chaining technology (e.g., Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel) expertise.
  • Knowledge of large language model (LLM) and foundational models toolsets.
  • Experience with implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
