About the Job:

This position is located in Kuwait, supporting LOGCAP operations. As an Engineer and Special Purpose Equipment (ESPE) Lead, you will oversee personnel performing ESPE maintenance functions, including testing, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, power generation equipment, engineer equipment, special purpose equipment, quartermaster equipment, material handling equipment, hydraulic systems, cylinder repairs/overhaul, and commercial-off-the-shelf equipment.

Key responsibilities include utilizing Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-Army) to monitor daily shop operations and maintenance-related supply transactions. You will also be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance and services for assigned equipment, establishing maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, and personnel.

In addition, you will prepare personnel work schedules, monitor performance of subordinates, hand receipt holder for tools, equipment, and spare parts assigned to the section, and monitor work orders/production on all assigned equipment requiring corrective action.

You must maintain bench stock and POL in accordance with applicable regulations, determine causes of equipment readiness deficiencies, take corrective action within your areas of responsibility, and provide feedback on systemic readiness problems.

You will adhere to Performance Work Statement and enforce standards within the work area, provide reports on safety, quality, supply, and maintenance issues, perform routine inspections on internal sections, and prepare and present/submits reports and briefings to management or for external agencies.

This role requires a driver's training program for Heavy Equipment, Special Purpose Equipment, and MHE, as well as environmental control duties and other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications - One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a U.S. Citizen/CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a CAC.
  • Certifications: Certification in GCSS Army is required. Caterpillar Certification preferred. RETCH Certification preferred. EPA 608, type I, type II, type III/universal, and 609 Certification. ASE Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of maintenance and supply management experience with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. Prior military training in Engineer, Utilities, Power generation, or Construction Equipment Maintenance or civilian equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Possesses thorough knowledge of GCSS-Army.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and Class IX Supply operations.
  • Must have effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
