Job Summary
", Our team at Vectrus is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Lead to join our team in Kuwait. This position will be physically located in Kuwait, supporting the LOGCAP program. As a Mechanical Maintenance Lead, you will supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs of pre-engineered humidity-controlled metal storage buildings with air and watertight roll-up doors. Your responsibilities may also include supervising maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic security barriers.
", The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for security barrier electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, and electronic control stations. You will provide leadership and mentor junior personnel to develop their skillsets. Additionally, you will address customer facility maintenance concerns in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. We use a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to correctly input data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests.
", In this role, you will analyze deficiencies in equipment and supervise necessary repairs. You will inspect equipment and conduct repairs or replace faulty components using various hand tools and equipment. You will complete mechanical repairs or improvements on various processes, equipment, fixtures, and unit operations. You will provide technical/operational guidance to ensure compliance with the PWS while delivering desired results. You will participate in preventive and corrective maintenance programs, evaluating maintenance requests, setting priorities, and processing work assignments. You will inspect and test facility components for proper operation according to manufacturer's specifications. Furthermore, you will inspect hydraulic systems for wear, leaks, and proper fluid level according to manufacturer's specifications. You will work with sheet metal parts, repairing and installing hydraulic, pneumatic parts, and systems. You will change bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, cylinders, and other interchangeable components. You will guide technicians in basic pipefitting, plumbing, threading, and layout. Finally, you will report on maintenance, safety, and quality issues.

Qualifications
", To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 4-7 years of mechanical maintenance experience. You should possess strong knowledge in a skilled trade (electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, etc.). Experience with U.S. Army Safety Guidelines and OSHA Standards is preferred. You should have the ability to analyze infrastructure system malfunctions and take corrective actions. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential. Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and people management skills are required.
Working Conditions
", You will be working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. You will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with very adverse and harsh conditions. Physical requirements include medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. You may be required to perform heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
