We are seeking a highly skilled individual to support our national security efforts.

About the Role

This position requires expertise in tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment, including operation of satellite modems, antennas, and associated cabling and interconnects.

  • SATCOM Equipment Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment.
  • Network and Communication Skills: Understanding of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware like Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, and firewalls. Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Cybersecurity and COMSEC: Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and procedures, including integration and configuration of COMSEC devices.
  • TDMA/FDMA Network Configurations: Ability to configure TDMA or FDMA network configurations and provide training on tactical SATCOM equipment.
  • Travel and Mission Support: Willingness to travel OCONUS to support the mission.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain Tactical VSATs, including fiber optic cabling and CAT5E/6 infrastructure. Submit Satellite Access Requests (SAR/GAR) as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active US Government Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Four Years of Experience: Four years of experience in communications electronic systems support and four years of experience in a tactical environment with satellite equipment.
  • Satellite Acquisition Procedures: Experience with satellite acquisition procedures and TDMA/DAMA modems.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent military experience with certifications.
