Power Generation Equipment Specialist

The Power Generation Technical Monitor will perform maintenance inspections, services, repairs, and overhauls of generator sets, steam cleaners, small engine driven equipment, and other Special Purpose Equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair generator sets, small engine driven equipment, and other Special Purpose Equipment in accordance with technical manuals, established processes, and local SOPs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents.
  • Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operations and efficiency.
  • Ensure all direct labor and subcontractor personnel comply with environmental, safety, and health requirements.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or two years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a host nation Driver's License.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in power generation, engine maintenance, and minor overhauls.
  • Deep understanding of diesel generator engine models and principles of operating 2000kVA and smaller diesel engines.
  • Possess English oral and written communications skills, collaborative work style, and discretion.
Work Environment:

This position requires working in various environments, including indoors and outdoors, with exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Employees must be able to work overtime or shift work as required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required.
  • Visual acuity, hearing, and speaking requirements would be considered.
