Desktop Product Strategist

You will lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for your product. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales is essential. Your role entails addressing common challenges across projects, aligning on priorities, enabling informed decisions, and keeping business execution on track.

You will conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities. Effective communication of your product vision, status updates, and key decisions ensures alignment and manages expectations.

A key aspect of this role is conducting usability testing, analyzing user feedback, and iterating on the product to improve the user experience. You will also collaborate with marketing, sales, and support teams to develop go-to-market strategies, create product documentation, and provide training.

This position requires a strong work ethic, personal interests aligned with the open source movement, and a habit of continuous learning. You must have a strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to innovate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals for your product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales.

Requirements:
  • Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
  • Understanding of Linux and the wider open source software community.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, application development, enterprise IT, cloud or devices.
  • Strong work ethic, personal interests aligned with the open source movement, and a habit of continuous learning.
  • Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to innovate.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
