Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to oversee the dining area, supervise and train staff, and support programs to increase sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in controlling labor costs according to operational standards.
  • Manage the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to meet expectations.
  • Support efforts to increase top-line sales.
Food Preparation and Quality
  • Ensure food is prepared and cooked to order following operational procedures.
  • Monitor food waste and address quality issues.
Team Development and Training
  • Train new crew members on operational procedures.
  • Develop crew members into shift leaders, assistant managers, and general managers.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure excellent guest service and efficiency.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints regarding food and service.
Miscellaneous Duties
  • Manage scheduling and ensure the dining area is aesthetically pleasing.
  • Greet guests and supervise staff to ensure proper service.
  • Inspect staff uniforms and cleanliness.
  • Address guest service complaints.
  • Ensure FOH side-work and cleaning are completed as scheduled.
  • Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of dining areas and equipment; report maintenance issues.
  • Secure the dining area at the end of the day.
  • Place and receive orders accurately.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in retail or food service.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage or retail industry.
  • Related business degree or equivalent qualification.
