This role is responsible for analyzing and improving freight forwarding operations for Alghanim Sahara Trans and its branches. The job holder will work closely with the operations team to identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of freight forwarding operations to identify areas of inefficiency and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Process Development: Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of freight forwarding operations.
  3. Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and circulate regular reports to management on key performance indicators and trends.
  4. Tender Management: Assist in managing the tender process for freight forwarding services, working to reduce landing costs.
  5. Freight Bookings: Analyze and report on freight bookings of shipments regularly to management, focusing on business development and cost reduction.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Require a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative fields from a reputable university; a strong academic record.
  2. Experience: 2+ years of experience in Freight, Supply Chain, and logistics reports and analytics.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical skills; should be capable of identifying and interpreting key business drivers.
  4. Knowledge: Basic knowledge of customs departments, shipping lines, and freight forwarders is desirable.
  5. Software Skills: Previous experience with Cargowise1 & Tableau is required.
  6. Soft Skills: Self-starter, able to work across functions and in teams. Results-driven, with the ability to perform on unstructured assignments.
