The Gulf Cryo Specialty Gases Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving commercial and technical sales growth. This individual supports the sales team by establishing strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, resulting in increased business and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster partnerships with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and secure long-term supply agreements.
  2. Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive specialty gas sales within assigned regions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Maintain a pipeline of target accounts, generating and qualifying leads through CRM tools, and continuously monitoring customer needs.
  4. Demonstrate products to potential customers, conduct competitive intelligence research, and provide value-driven solutions to improve profitability.
  5. Achieve sales quotas, new business development targets, and revenue growth objectives while upholding the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, providing exceptional service and support.
  2. Conduct regular sales visits, provide visit reports, and track customer engagement to ensure effective communication.
  3. Address customer inquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies, and respond promptly to changing customer needs.
  4. Improve profitability of existing accounts by offering customized solutions that meet customer requirements and preferences.
  5. SUPPORT THE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER IN GROWING SPECIALTY GAS SALES WITHIN THEIR ASSIGNED PORTFOLIO.

Sales Operations & Coordination:

  1. Utilize CRM systems effectively to optimize sales processes, reporting, and data analysis for informed decision-making.
  2. Establish pricing structures and secure profitable new business opportunities while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  3. Coordinate deliveries with the Distribution Department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, meeting customer expectations.
  4. Support the collection team to meet targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics and maintain a healthy cash flow.
  5. Complete all required sales-related documentation, including call reports, month-end reports, and timely communication through emails and phone calls.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives:

  1. Gather and analyze market data to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, informing strategic business decisions.
  2. Support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches, promoting business growth and expansion.
  3. Promote and leverage sales and marketing literature to align with regional growth strategies, enhancing brand awareness and reputation.
  4. Participate in continuous learning to enhance selling skills and product knowledge, staying ahead of industry developments and competitors.

Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance:

  1. Actively promote and support the company's SHEQ agenda, fostering a safe, healthy, and quality-focused work environment.
  2. Provide customers with engineering, technical support, training, and safety guidance for their specialty gas requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills:

  1. Minimum 5-10 years of sales experience in industrial/specialty gases or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipeline management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
  4. Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets, demonstrating high levels of motivation and professionalism.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive and professional attitude in fast-paced environments.
  6. High level of technical aptitude and willingness to continuously learn about new products and applications, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  7. Previous company experience with companies like Ashraf Company, Shimadzu, Al Arfaj, Agilent, Tectron, Bruker, and ATC is highly valued.
