Job Description: Senior Laboratory Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Senior Laboratory Operations Manager at our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the procurement and storage of laboratory supplies
  • Evaluate the performance of laboratory technicians
  • Assist in scheduling laboratory sessions
  • Develop and implement laboratory safety policies
  • Ensure the maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Prepare and submit reports, including budgets for new equipment
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for each laboratory
  • Coordinate annual training for laboratory technicians and instructors
  • Oversee the delivery, setup, and training of newly purchased equipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in laboratory supervision
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Continuing education in laboratory management and/or laboratory safety
  • Master's degree or higher
