We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Procurement to drive procurement efficiency, strategic sourcing, and risk management across both AEC project-related and corporate procurements. This role is critical in supporting Pace's transformation program aimed at operational excellence, cost efficiency, and digital enablement. The Associate Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while supporting the Executive, Client and Corporate Services Leadership. What you will be doing Job description: About the Role Establish procurement policies and best practices to drive operational excellence. Assist the CFO and Executive Leadership in developing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, supporting project and corporate teams in sourcing requirements and optimising procurements. Conduct market research, spend analysis, long-term procurement planning, demand forecasting, cost optimisation, and excel in supplier negotiations to enhance procurement effectiveness. Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, contract management and compliance. Develop and implement vendor performance metrics and supplier evaluation frameworks. Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and long-term partnerships to drive consistency and cost savings. Lead procurement operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and regional regulations. Implement internal controls to mitigate procurement risks and enhance governance. Manage procurement audits and ensure transparency in purchasing activities. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, automation and process improvements. Develop strategies for supplier consolidation and contract renegotiation. Monitor procurement performance against budgetary and financial objectives. Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies. Strengthen risk management frameworks to ensure business continuity. Ensure compliance and promote sustainable procurement practices. Act as a key advisor to the CFO and Executive team on procurement matters. Partner with cross-functional teams to align procurement objectives with business goals. Recruit, develop and mentor team members to build a high-performing procurement function. Required Experience Minimum of 10 years in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations within an AEC or professional services project-based organisations in the GCC region. Strong understanding of procurement best practices and regulatory compliance. Education Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's qualification is preferred. Certifications & Memberships Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPMO) are required and familiarity with FIDIC is desirable. Essential Skills Strategic Procurement Leadership: Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies. Communication and Negotiation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present on Executive leadership level.
