HR AND PAYROLL OFFICER

Job Summary:

The HR and Payroll Officer will play a vital role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to payroll processing, employee recordkeeping and other HR admin activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Process new hire paperwork, including onboarding and benefits enrollment.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system (HRIS).
  3. Assist with recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews.
  4. Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, such as performance reviews and employee relations.
  5. Stay informed on HR policies and procedures, and answer employee questions related to payroll matters.
  6. Collect, verify, and process employee time sheets and leave requests.
  7. Prepare salary, employment and experience certificates.
  8. Calculate accurate salaries, bonuses, and deductions based on company policies.
  9. Prepare and submit payroll reports to the finance department in a timely manner.
  10. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  11. Determine and process the final payment owed to an employee upon exit from the organization and assist with the exit formalities and clearance.
  12. Update employees master files and maintain relevant HR trackers.
  13. Automate and develop the payroll process.
  14. Responsible for tracking the attendance of employees by reviewing the attendance reports.

Candidate skills and qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or a relevant field.
  2. Must have 3 or more years of payroll experience.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Strong understanding of the Kuwait Labor Law.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software (SAP preferably).
  6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong understanding of basic HR principles and payroll practices (a plus).
