Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management, efficiency, and quality of SOTA Cleaning's night-time operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team, develop and implement operational plans, ensure adherence to company standards, and proactively address challenges. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an excellent planner, and a role model for their team, primarily working during night shifts with additional afternoon responsibilities for planning and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Night Operations Management:
- Oversee and direct all cleaning operations during night shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
- Be physically present with the night operations team, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement operational schedules and plans for night-time activities, including preparing the following night's schedule during afternoon hours.
- Ensure optimal deployment of staff and resources.
- Lead, motivate, train, and manage the night operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, diligence, and commitment.
- Conduct regular team briefings, performance evaluations, and address any disciplinary issues in accordance with company policy.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new operational staff.
Quality Control & Standards:
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure services meet or exceed client expectations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits during night shifts.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or client complaints promptly and effectively.
Reporting & Planning:
- Develop, analyze, and present regular operational reports to senior management, detailing performance, KPIs, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, staff performance, and resource utilization.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation and use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and vehicles for night operations.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, reporting any faults or needs for repair/replacement.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and coordinate replenishment.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure all night operations comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local Kuwaiti labor laws.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the team and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage and report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches during the night shift.
Proactive Problem Solving & Initiative:
- Anticipate potential operational challenges and develop contingency plans.
- Take initiative to resolve issues independently and make informed decisions.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Attested Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an operations management role.
- Essential: Proven experience successfully managing night shift operations.
- Experience in the facilities management, or a similar service-oriented industry is highly desirable.
- Candidates must possess a valid, transferable Kuwaiti residency (e.g., Visa 18).
- Leadership: Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Ability to be a role model.
- Planning & Organization: Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Fluent in English (spoken and written) is essential. Good command of Arabic is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactivity & Awareness: Highly proactive with a strong sense of awareness, initiative, and foresight.
- Reporting: Proficient in preparing and analyzing operational reports.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with operational software is a plus.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to work independently, adapt to changing situations, manage stress effectively, and maintain neutrality.
- Commitment & Diligence: Strong work ethic, commitment to company rules, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge: Understanding of local labor laws and health & safety regulations in Kuwait.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily night shift work, with additional afternoon hours required for planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Work will involve being on-site with operational teams.
- Must be able to handle the demands of a 24/7 operational environment.
