We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our client's accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial management, preferabbly within the facilities, Real Estate or entertainment industries. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency through effective cash flow management, financial reporting, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage the company's cash flow within the set budget and forecasted projections.
  • Oversee all receipts and payment transactions to ensure accuracy and timely reflection in financial systems.

Payment Processing & Petty Cash:

  • Process all internal and external payment requests according to established procedures.
  • Oversee petty cash distribution, recording, reconciliation, and accounting.

Accounting Operations:

  • Perform and oversee general accounting and reporting functions.
  • Prepare and review daily/monthly journal entries and reconciliations for key accounts to ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP.

Month-End & Financial Close:

  • Assist in leading a timely and accurate month-end close process.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
  • Analyze interfaces and reconciliations between banking systems, general ledger, and other related systems.
  • Ensure completion of all internal and executive financial reports and memos (monthly/quarterly).

Audit & Compliance:

  • Support the annual audit process including the preparation of draft financial statements and relevant disclosures.
  • Ensure journal entries and all supporting documentation are properly archived

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
  • Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Prior experience in the facilities management and/or entertainment industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
