Position: Systems Administrator II

The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of site-level servers. The candidate must coordinate system backups, hardware and software installation, and system upgrades. The role includes establishing work schedules, maintaining discipline, and ensuring staff training. Program: OMDAC-SWACA.

All applicants must meet host country legal work requirements to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate and maintain server systems, including Microsoft 2008 Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, print queues, etc.
  2. Administer Exchange servers (2008 or higher) and Outlook Web Access (OWA).
  3. Manage Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), MOM/SCOM, SCCM, and WSUS.
  4. Use VERITAS Backup Exec for file server backups and restores.
  5. Maintain system availability and perform regular maintenance.
  6. Troubleshoot hardware issues on Dell, HP, LTO tape libraries, fiber switches, and SANs.
  7. Ensure compliance with US Army antivirus and security standards.
  8. Manage user accounts and Exchange mailboxes.
  9. Establish shift schedules and oversee staff training and appraisals.
  10. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  1. Active Secret Security Clearance.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field; experience may substitute for education.
  3. Must adhere to DoD 8570.01M standards, maintaining at least one baseline and one CE certification from the approved list.
  4. Certifications include Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, CompTIA CASP+ or Security+, GIAC GSEC, GCIH, and others listed.
  5. Experience with Windows Server 2012 or higher, Active Directory, and enterprise security principles.
  6. Minimum of five (5) years' practical experience in Windows Server environments.
