Your day to day

As a Sous Chef, you will oversee the quality of food, timeliness of food preparation, maintenance of the kitchen, and colleagues' productivity to ensure that it is up to hotel quality standards. Ensures that kitchen operations are following brand standards and health and safety regulations. Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  1. Directing food preparation and collaborating with the Head Chef.
  2. Helping in the design of food and drink menu.
  3. Producing high-quality plates, including both design and taste.
  4. Overseeing and supervising kitchen staff.
  5. Ensuring that food is top quality, and that the kitchen is in good condition.
  6. Keeping stations clean and complying with food safety standards.
  7. Offering suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance.
  8. Training new employees.
  9. Monitoring and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  10. Solving problems that arise and seizing control of issues in the kitchen.
What We Need From You
  1. Degree or certificate in culinary arts.
  2. 3-5 years experience in the same capacity, preferably from a hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  3. Specialty in hot and cold International and Mediterranean Cuisine.
