Overview

Under the direction of a Manager, Supply Chain, the Procurement Specialist will buy and administer purchase orders for various V2X Programs within the CENTCOM region, involving both foreign and domestic vendors. The role includes executing and managing Purchase Orders (POs) through close-out, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, legal guidelines, FAR/DFARS clauses, and customer requirements. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for safeguarding the legal and financial interests of V2X Systems Corporation during interactions with customers and suppliers. Responsibilities include drafting Requests for Quotes, assessing price reasonableness, leading negotiations with suppliers, and reviewing legal documents such as clauses, PO modifications, and agreements, exercising ethical and professional judgment within a defined policy framework. The position entails cradle-to-grave ownership of POs, ensuring timely receipt of materials and processing of invoices. The role also involves developing and registering new vendors in the 319 vendor onboarding portal, supporting internal and external audits, and coordinating closely with other departments under the guidance of the Supply Chain organization and the Corporate Procurement Manual.

Responsibilities

  1. Procure materials and supplies supporting the program.
  2. Manage the entire procurement process from sourcing to PO closure, with thorough documentation.
  3. Purchase a variety of services, materials, and supplies.
  4. Review purchase requisitions and place orders with approved suppliers.
  5. Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate on price, delivery, quality, and service.
  6. Follow up on all awards until order completion.
  7. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues.
  8. Maintain all documentation related to purchases in accordance with government and company policies.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  2. Experience: 2-4 years of purchasing experience; knowledge of FAR, DoD FAR Supplement, and departmental supplements; ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively; sales and data analytics experience is a plus.
  3. Other Requirements: Overtime may be required.
