Job Description

AOG Desk Controller

Jazeera Airways is seeking an experienced AOG Desk Controller to ensure prompt handling of all materials requests for aircraft on ground (AOG) situations, keeping involved stakeholders updated on the status of each request.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Manage the acquisition of all material requirements for aircraft on ground and critical defect parts, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
  2. Coordinate the movement of materials and parts with suppliers, freight forwarders, airlines, MROs, and couriers.
  3. Maintain and update all progress records on computer systems, ensuring a clear chronological log of AOG material requirements.
  4. Participate in Fleet Status meetings, providing updates and ensuring departmental procedures are followed.
  5. Generate monthly and annual reports on AOG material requirements for the Materials Manager, Reliability Engineer, and VP of Engineering.
  6. Track loaned, borrowed, and robbed parts, ensuring return of loaned units and timely delivery of core units to suppliers.
  7. Ensure unused materials and equipment used for AOG at outstations are returned promptly.
  8. Coordinate and monitor materials shipped directly to outstations for AOG recovery within the ERP system.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  2. Up to 3 years of experience in AOG desk operations within aviation materials and supply chain management.
  3. Knowledge of aircraft parts such as rotables, consumables, and expendables.
  4. Proficiency in airline-specific ERP systems and spreadsheet software.
  5. Understanding of AOG freight forwarding and customs clearance processes.
  6. Ability to interpret contracts and agreements.
  7. Good communication skills.
